The difference between email alerts and TheftAdvisor alerts:
The difference between email alerts and TheftAdvisor alerts is simply that if you have downloaded TheftAdvisor, you will see an alert pop up on screen immediately. Also, you will NOT have to provide us your email address if you use TheftAdvisor. Of course, if you choose to receive alerts via email, that is fine as well - they will arrive promptly in your inbox.
