About Us
Who are we and what happened at breakfast?
Identity Breach started when Rob Shavell and Andy Sudbury sneaked out of a big internet security conference in San Franciscoto get a really good breakfast (Dotty's).
Over eggs, we talked about all the new corporate security technologies we had seen and how they were failing: companies holding our personal information weren't able to always keep it safe. Hackers were stealing our identities from companies and we weren't being told. We wanted a way to get the message out fast to anyone at risk.
Why we believe in monitoring our info after we give it outLook, the fact is we give away our identity information an average of SIX times a week! We wanted a simple way for anyone, not technology experts, to monitor their own risks. We had had been working on some Web monitoring and with addition of some research and web crawling, Identity Breach was born.
Make your list and we'll alert you if something happens Try making a list >Now when you surf and shop and whenever you give out your identity, you can monitor it simply and easily.
If there's a problem, you'll know if you're at risk from a data breach, what your rights are, and some options to take to protect yourself.
So get going. And talk to us: we're passionate about privacy on the internet and are involved in other privacy-related efforts as well. Send us mail and tell us your story.
